Grammy Award-winning duo Bob Moses release their highly anticipated third album, The Silence in Between. The Silence in Between marks the Los Angeles-based bands first release since signing to Astralwerks in a unique global partnership with Domino Recording Co. Love Brand New is one of the most anthemic moments on The Silence in Between, Love Brand New finds Vancouver-bred musicians / producers Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance tapping into their deep-rooted love for 90s alt-rock and left-of-center dance music. Written with Michel Zitron and John Martin (a Swedish production duo known for their work with the likes of Avicii and Swedish House Mafia), the track encompasses a glorious collision of moody guitar tones, mercurial textures, and wildly propulsive beats as Bob Moses channel the dizzying euphoria of new romance.
As their boldest and most viscerally charged output to date, The Silence in Betweenamplifies the unbridled energy thats made Bob Moses a repeat winner of Resident Advisors Best Live Act prize.

For a duo whose youthful energy rejuvenated the world of house music at the start of the 2010s, it seems incredible that Disclosure are now into their second decade of musical life. The incredible vigour of those early records, the spark of invention and ever-onward musical thrust, remains with the Disclosure brothers, Howard and Guy Lawrence, to this day.
The emphasis throughout DJ-Kicks is on motion. After a brief ambient introduction from Ppe's Life Signs, Disclosure keep the energy high, in a mix that showcases the wonderful malleability of a house beat in the right hands. From sub bass to disco samples, African funk to 303 tweak, all is welcome in Disclosure's house, with the mix allowing individual songs space to breath even as the pace remains harefooted.
Limited 180gm gold colored vinyl LP pressing.

BRONSON, the brand new group by ODESZA and Golden Features, unveils their debut self-titled album on Foreign Family Collective / Ninja Tune. BRONSON is available on clear LP, limited edition black and yellow LP, and CD. GRAMMY-nominated duo ODESZA and acclaimed Australian producer Golden Features have come together to form the powerhouse group BRONSON. The self-titled album BRONSON pushes the soundscapes of their previous projects to explore the darker edges of dance music. The LP features heavyweight collaborations from lau.ra of Ultraista, Gallant, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. The BRONSON album reflects on their respective needs to challenge personal struggles, both internal and external. Moreover, the trio recognized that their own battles were merely microcosms of the surrounding world. The hope was to craft a body of work that was reflective of that duality of lightness and darkness inherent to the human condition.
Thievery Corporation's historic concert in 2017 at The JFK Center in Washington, D.C saw their songs re-imagined with orchestral arrangements from some of today's leading young classical composers. The show is now legendary, and those fortunate to attend heard Thievery Corporation in an entirely new way. To honor this show and inspiration it provided, Hilton and Garza have created Symphonik - recorded with Prague's FILMHarmonic Orchestra; engineering and co-production by Gianmaria Conti.
In 2014, Dan Snaith aka Caribou released Our Love to overwhelming critical acclaim. Caribou returns now with his new studio album Suddenly, a warm, untamable, and constantly surprising record about family and the changes we go through as those relationships evolve. Most prominently, Suddenly refers to the moments of dramatic and unexpected change that occur at points in any life and within any family-universal themes that can catch you off guard and change your life in a heartbeat. Those dramatic moments are part of a slower process. These moments rear their heads, for good or bad, during the everyday flow of life. "There's a tension between those sudden things which blindside you and the more glacial, gradual day-to-day changes," he observes. "We are so caught up in the immediate-the details that require our attention every day-that we can be blind to the bigger forces shaping us. That's why so often when something drastic happens suddenly, it catalyzes all sorts of changes in our lives. Our perspective shifts." Suddenly is in the music, too. This is the most surprising and unpredictable Caribou album to date. Though it retains the trademark Caribou warmth and technicolor, this album is littered with swerves and left turns. "I wanted to balance the familiar-the sound that people associate with my music-against these moments of surprise," Snaith says. As his passion and joy in music-making remains as fresh as ever, Suddenly is the purest example of this yet.
With a hugely impressive 1.3 million combined album sales under their belt, Tycho are the two-time Grammy nominated electronic music project led by Scott Hansen as primary composer, songwriter and producer. Respected for both their musical output and Scotts graphic design work, under the ISO50 moniker, Tycho has produced and released a hugely successful back catalogue which has drawn comparisons to the likes of Boards of Canada (To get a sense of their sound, think the same kind of detail-oriented work and continuity of style that made Boards of Canada and Ulrich Schnauss revered artists in their field. - Exclaim!) and resulted in a 2017 and 2020 Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Epoch and Weather, respectively.
Simulcast follows Tychos studio album Weather and features highly anticipated instrumental versions of Weather albums tracks, previously vocal-led by singer-songwriter Saint Sinner. Tycho have gone back to the studio and recorded alternative versions of those original recordings, creating new material from those much loved tracks, while taking a bold step towards their classic sound. This is an unmissable release for any Tycho fan. Simulcast will be available on Mom + Pop Music in the US and Ninja Tune worldwide.
Grimes started producing music when she had to learn the program Logic for her neuroscience class. Shortly thereafter she had a viral myspace page, which allowed her to start booking shows and focus full-time on music. She lived in a crack den in Montreal with no heat (where she got frostbite twice and her neighbor was bludgeoned to death in the hallway), playing raves until her 2012 breakout, Visions, which was recorded during a 2 week speed binge wherein she did not leave her bedroom. Upon the success of this album, Grimes attempted to enter society as a regular human, which has clearly not gone super well but has nonetheless been entertaining. Shes since become an award winning music video director as well as a music writer, producer, engineer, singer-songwriter. Shes toured globally to sold out crowds, headlined festivals, and is now moving into the space of corporate surrealism. She recently had experimental eye surgery only available to the upper class. She is putting out her final earth album February 21st 2020.
When Polia's Channy Leaneagh fell off her roof while clearing ice in early 2018, she smashed her L1 vertebrae and battered her spine, leaving her in a brace with limited mobility for months. Yet Polia's fourth album, When We Stay Alive, is not about one debilitating accident. It's about the redemptive power of rewriting your story in order to heal, and reclaiming your identity as a result. When We Stay Alive possesses a new confidence in its sound, reflected in its fierce, determined songs and anchored by the heavy synths and punctuating beats of Polia co-founder and producer Ryan Olson. Over the last several years Olson and Leaneagh have widely collaborated with musicians from all over the world: both with Bon Iver, and Leaneagh individually with Boys Noize, Lane 8, Sasha, Leftfield, and Daniel Wohl; Olson with Swamp Dogg in addition to countless musicians from the Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon's 37d03d collective. As a result, When We Stay Alive features one of the largest musical casts of any Polia record to date. To create the album, Olson brought his favorite collaborators into his studio for all-night sessions. He'd then send Leaneagh the files to write lyrics to while recovering at home, which she'd record alone or with engineer Alex Proctor. Drummers Drew Christopherson and Ben Ivascu colored the songs with a new approach ' drastically changing the rhythmic dynamic from previous efforts by creating an indistinguishable hybrid of live and electronic instrumentation--and bassist Chris Bierden provided a melody-laden low-end as well as more layered backing vocals than ever before. On Polia's first three albums, Leaneagh focused on restructuring the world and her relationships within it. On When We Stay Alive, she realizes the power in restructuring her inner self. The album's title references the idea of moving forward through life ' our experiences, both good and bad ' and what happens next with the strength we find. 'I had been living unconsciously in past trauma,' Leaneagh says. 'I don't want to deny something happened ' this is not about repression ' it's about taking the power back from the past, holding the power in the present, and creating a new story for myself.'
Towards the end of 2013 Jungle burst onto the scene with their first two singles: The Heat and Platoon. Appearing out of nowhere and propelled by feverish word of mouth online and IRL, Jungle would transform over the next few years from an anonymous production duo to a kaleidoscopic, personality-filled seven piece live band built around the core duo of Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, whose debut album (2014s self-titled Jungle) was one of the years defining debut records; one that would end up nominated for the UKs Mercury Music Prize and go on to sell over half a million copies. Jungle have now returned with their forthcoming second album FOR EVER which was recorded in London and Los Angeles; Josh and Tom describe it as a post-apocalyptic radio station playing break up songs. If Jungles first album was their imaginary soundtrack to the places they had never been, their new record captures the landscapes they had so often dreamed of. To write and record the new album, J and T swapped Shepherds Bush for the Hollywood Hills. Their romanticization of The California Dream clashed with the reality of living italthough the experience led them back home to London to finish the album, the journey itself ultimately defining the music it produced. Including singles Happy Man and House In LA, Jungles FOR EVER is due out this September. Music For The Long Emergency is the collaborative album from Minneapolis-based electronic quintet POLIÇA and European orchestral collective s t a r g a z e. The two bands met for the first time in Berlin in 2016, and while the collaboration started in the same room, the process continued as an 18-month long ''ping pong'' match as the bands exchanged ideas and music over email, mp3 files, video conferencing, and the occasional meet-up in Berlin, Minneapolis, and Eau Claire. Both bands were adamant that whatever they created ''not just be POLIÇA songs with s t a r g a z e pasted on top,'' as POLIÇA vocalist Channy Leaneagh puts it, and the end result is the most adventurous and forward-thinking music either group has made to date.
New Order have announced a new live album, NOMC15, recorded at Brixton Academy in 2015 following the release of their most recent studio LP (and Mute debut) "Music Complete". It features a set consisting of tracks from the new album, as well as cuts from their back catalog and songs by Joy Division.
Vault is a collection of rare, previously unreleased songs that up until now have never been heard by anyone except STRFKR. The band only exists today because of these recordings. Some of these songs were written for STRFKR albums, some were written before or in-between, but they all played a role and influenced what was released under that name.
