Quasi captures sounds that are powerful, unreapeatable, and unmistakably psychedelic. Producer Dave Friedmann (Flaming Lips) made the mixes powerful and unpredictable. He enhanced the swirling, layered, psyche feel. WHEN THE GOING GETS DARK proves that all the blood, sweat and tears were worthwhile.Reviews:
Before the White Stripes made divorced bassless duos acceptable, amicably dour exes Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss were making big noises without a guitar even. The latter's best known for her powerhouse drumming with Sleater-Kinney; the former's not well known enough for his work with '80s indie quirksters the Donner Party.
