Originally released in 1988, Thundersteel is the sixth album by legendary American hard rock/metal act Riot. After a brief hiatus in the mid 1980's, founding original member Mark Reale unleashed an entirely new band lineup for Thundersteel that included vocalist Tony Moore along with journeyman drummer Bobby Jarzombek (Iced Earth, Fates Warning, Halford). Thundersteel was more of a metal departure for Riot, that leaned on Judas Priest styled ala Painkiller speed, with more riffs than one could find on an Anthrax album. Thundersteel debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at No. 150.
