No band eased the transition from grunge to pop better than Candlebox, which is ironic since they too hailed from Seattle, where the "Big Four" dabbled in more esoteric influences, from punk (Nirvana) to classic rock (Pearl Jam) to heavy metal (Alice in Chains, Soundgarden).
