About This Release
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the classic Russian silent film and the centenary of the Odessa uprising, Tennant/ Lowe release their original music for the Battleship Potemkin, providing unmistakably Pet Shop Boys sounds for this seminal and ambitious project, with a combination of electronics and strings, featuring orchestrations by the German composer Torsten Rasch and played by the Dresdner Sinfoniker who performed in Trafalgar Square with Pet Shop Boys. UK art version. EMI. 2005.
