The Toadies have officially reconvened, signing with Kirtland Records and recording No Deliverance with David Castell (Burden Brothers, Blue October) at Fort Worth Sound in Fort Worth and Music Lane in Austin. The band has gone for a"bare knuckle"sound, amping up the psychotic stomp heard on 1994 debut Rubberneck.Reviews:
''No Deliverance'' is the third studio album by Toadies. It was released August 19, 2008 on Kirtland Records. ''No Deliverance'' was released eight years after the band's previous album, ''Hell Below/Stars Above''.
First news of the album came with a few videos posted onto YouTube from a fan who had apparently sneaked into the band's rehearsal space. Whether this was legitimately true, or some cleverly orchestrated publicity stunt, the videos appear to contain audio from the new album (videos can be seen here: , , ).
On May 30, a 22 second clip of the title track "No Deliverance" was posted onto the . On June 19, the entire track was made available streaming on .
