Long term friend of Aus Music Marquis Hawkes presents Doornroosje. Hot on the heels of his recent LP Social Housing (HTH 058CD/LP, 2016) - the Berlin based artist lines up Doornroosje, a tight a two-tracker that remains consistent with his output on Aus: dancefloor-focused jams suffused with simplicity and soul. "Discopuss" kicks things off with a potent combination of samples and hardware as sassy funk samples are propelled by tough crunching drums. The title track follows up with piano stabs and busy, percolating synth lines driven at a pace-y rate to rapturous effect.
