Widely regarded as the crowning achievement of Boz Scaggs' AOR period and the peak of his popularity, this album features a highly sophisticated and impeccably refined sound under the direction of producer David Foster, with crisp and dynamic performances by Jeff Porcaro on drums, David Hungate on bass, Steve Lukather on guitar, and Ray Parker Jr. On guitar, and includes the hit singles "Breakdown Dead Ahead," which reached No.15 in the US, and "Jojo," which reached No.17, coinciding with a hugely popular Japan tour whose concerts were broadcast on television, and this Japan-only edition is issued on a hybrid disc featuring an SACD stereo layer and a CD stereo layer produced from the 2023 remastered audio, packaged in a 7-inch cardboard sleeve that faithfully reproduces the original LP artwork and includes an obi strip replicating the original Japanese edition, a reproduction jacket of the EP single cut from the album, and a booklet with newly written liner notes, lyrics, and Japanese translations.
