More Info:

(2-CD set) This CD features Duke Ellington And His Famous Orchestra and could have been titled his greatest hits, but this was a 'Live' concert that the orchestra played at the famous Pleyel in Paris (France) during a European tour in 1958. The Orchestra features a mass of talent with most of Ellington's top luminaries including Johnny Hodges, William "Cat" Anderson, Clark Terry, Ray Nance, Harry Carney and others including the "Duke" on piano. Ozzie Bailey and Ray Nance provide the vocals. To the uninitiated this is a fine introduction to the "Duke" and his music.
