Vinyl LP pressing. 2009 release. Shannon & the Clams create a ruckus similar to the sound of a prom band in 1964 getting dosed with acid and having the sweetest lovelorn freak out. Imagine a brawling Etta James, backed up by the 13th Floor Elevators singing Shangri La's tunes. It doesn't sound exactly like that, but imagine it. Shannon has a voice that can go from a sweet girl group croon to a bluesy ballsy growl before you realize you're headed for the floor. This is their debut full length following hot on the heels of the 'Hunk Hunt' single.
