As long as there are young women strutting around dive bars with Joan Jett plumage, there will be an audience for this band. Speaking of which, that riff on new single "Don't Wait Up for Me" is awful similar to "I Hate Myself for Loving You." Which is fine with us. The badass chick rawk niche has been vacant since the Runaways disbanded, yet for some reason, the mainstream hasn't quite accepted the Donnas as heiresses apparent. It's a shame, 'cause nothing rocks a jukebox like their strip-tastic 2002 hit "Take It Off," second in salaciousness only to "40 Boys in 40 Nights." They want to make us feel dirty'"let them! Oh, p.s., in case your '80s jones hasn't been thoroughly satisfied, the ladies also do a wicked left-field cover of Men Without Hats' "Safety Dance."
