LOMA began her professional career in 1973, in Porto Alegre recording commercial jingles and fronting the Grupo Pentagrama. For 3 Years in a row she was voted best singer by the press in Rio Grande do Sul. She then moved to Rio de Janeiro to further her studies of music and attend the Escola de Música do Sindicato dos Músicos do Rio de Janeiro. In Rio she developed many relationships and performed and /or recorded with Amelinha, Sérgio Dias (Mutantes) Joao de Aquino, Nadinho da Ilha, Elza Soares, Baby Consuelo, Jorge Mautner, Robertinho do Recife, Sérgio Moreira, Bixo da Seda, Jerônimo Jardim e Bebeto Alves Maurício Tizumba. From Rio she traveled to Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Bahia, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, Sergipe, Paraíba e Pernambuco performing allover Brazil. She participated on the following records: Gilberto Gil (Luar), Bebeto Alves (Notícia Urgente); Paulinho Tapajós, Alceu Valença (Manga Rosa); Elza Soares (Nega Elza), Cristina Buarque de Hollanda, Monarco and the Velha Guarda da Portela, Edu Lobo, Marku Ribas, Belchior, Kleiton & Kledir (Deu Prá Ti), Agnaldo Rayol. In 1985 she released her first solo album 'LOMA', feauturing songs by Bebeto Alves, Cao Guimaraes, Zé Caradípia, Cao Trein, Luiz Coronel, Fernando Gama (Boca Livre) e Geraldo Flack. The Album was very well received by the press winning several awards. Her 2nd album 'UM MATE POR TI' from the record label RGE was nominated for SHARP DE MUSICA award. Her 3rd CD LOMA - ALÉM FRONTEIRAS, featured compositions by Robson Barenho, Leonardo Ribeiro, Kako Xavier, Ivaldo Roque, Joao de Aquino, Talo Pereira and Zé Caradípia received the AÇORIANOS Award in 2000. Since 2002, Loma is a member of the folkloric group CANTADORES DO LITORAL, having performed in Brazil, Canada and Portugal. Loma's newest CD Ziguezagueando is a diary of her travels throughout Brazil and expresses different aspects of that country's rich musical culture.
