W.A.S.P. Inside The Electric Circus 40th Anniversary - As an album, Inside The Electric Circus has always sat in an interesting spot in the W.A.S.P. catalogue. It does not have the raw shock of the debut and it is not as fully sharpened as The Headless Children, but it absolutely has it's own appeal. This is W.A.S.P. in full mid-80s excess, leaning into sleaze, hooks, and a big theatrical hard rock sound without completely losing it's teeth. The title track, "9.5.-N.A.S.T.Y.", "I'm Alive," and "The Rock Rolls On" all carry that neon-drenched menace Blackie Lawless did so well. The 2026 half-speed remaster angle makes sense here because this is a record built on punch, shine, and swagger.
