Reviews:
Of course, they didn't invent the damn remix, though judging by the spokeninterludes on this album delivered by Herr Diddy himself, it's clear thatnotion has never occurred to him. Furthermore, if Bad Boy did anything at allto improve the standing of the remix in general, it's certainly not representedon this set. Almost all the mixes here are from the past two years, when BadBoy has been in a serious state of decline. Label legend Biggie Smalls is capturedhere only fleetingly (most disturbingly on Ashanti's "Unfoolish")and instead Puff chooses to shine light on the label's new roster-Mase-soundalikeLoon, Cheri Dennis, G. Dep, Tammy Ruggeri-and tacks on verses to perfectlygood songs as if to make quota. All the label's golden-era mixes are nowhereto be found, graphically exposing Puff's clear decline as a hit maker-andmixer.
