Occasionally a band finds a way to combine elements of various genres that would not seem likely to work together and create something beautiful. In this case, Dance Gavin Dance has done exactly that and executed it in a way that seems almost effortless. Their unique mixture of screamo, funk, and experimental music has given them a sound that is easily recognizable to many and has won them loyal fans across the world. Since their formation in 2005, they have toured relentlessly with the likes of A Day To Remember, Of Mice & Men, Crown The Empire, and many more. After six full-length albums and an EP, the band is back at it again with “Tree City Sessions”. However, this isn’t your typical Dance Gavin Dance album. “Tree City Sessions” includes 12 fan favorites, both old and new, recorded live in Sacramento, California. Fans have been anticipating a live album for quite some time now, and they are sure to love these recordings.
