Limited edition 180gm red colored vinyl LP pressing, housed in a gatefold sleeve. Chuck Berry embodied originality, being the first true gyrating guitar god, and the earliest rock and roll lyricist whose words were worthy of a poet's pedigree. Berry On Top is a 1959 compilation Chess Records assembled from previous Berry singles and various sessions for their 12" debuts. A miniature jukebox of one of the true architects of rock and roll, the aptly titled affair contains a dozen of the biggest hits in music history including landmark recordings like "Johnny B. Goode," "Maybellene," "Roll Over Beethoven" and "Carol."
