EU-only release containing two albums from the Rock 'n' Roll pioneer. In 1954, bandleader Bill Haley and His Comets recorded the song 'Rock Around the Clock', a Rock 'n' Roll anthem that stayed at #1 in the charts for eight weeks and sold an estimated 25 million copies worldwide. The Comets became the first group to bring Rock 'n' Roll to the attention of white America. This remastered collector's edition contains two of Haley & His Comets' finest releases: their fantastic debut LP ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK (1955), and the follow-up ROCK'N'ROLL STAGE SHOW (1956). Both albums were issued by the Decca label and contain great moments from Bill Haley & His Comets hit-making stretch during their most inspired years. Highlights also feature the smashes 'Shake, Rattle and Roll', 'Mambo Rock', and 'Hot Dog Buddy Buddy', among others. In addition, we have included six bonus tracks consisting of fabulous EP sides from the same period.
