Philip Glass is an American composer. His music is considered to be minimal music, although he himself uses the term theater music.Glassworks was originally released in 1982. The album is a six-part chamber music work by Philip Glass. After his larger-scale concert and stage works, Glassworks was Philip Glass's successful attempt to create a more pop-oriented 'Walkman-appropriate' work, with significantly shorter and more accessible pieces written for the recording studio.
