These songs were recorded in 2002 and 2003 in Lawton, Oklahoma and initially distributed to just a few friends after Zac moved on to Los Angeles. The originals have been remastered for this release. There are thematic references to the death of a friend, the end of relationships and the lonely strength of starting over again. Most of the instrumentation is little more than his multi-tracked vocals, an acoustic guitar and an old mason jar full of nails and coins for percussion.
