More Info:

The multi-platinum rock band P.O.D. is back with their most aggressive, poetic effort to date. Produced by Jay Baumgartner (Evanescence, Godsmack), When Angels & Serpents Dance redefines what a hard rock album should be. In addition to the return of original guitarist Marcos Curiel, the effort features guest artists Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies), Paige Hamilton (Helmet) and The Marley Sisters.

Reviews:

''When Angels & Serpents Dance'' is the seventh studio album by P.O.D., released in 2008. It was the first album to include Marcos Curiel since his departure from the group and first to be released by INO/Columbia. It also includes Mike Muir from Suicidal Tendencies, Helmet guitarist Page Hamilton, guest Gospel Choir, and the Marley Sisters. The album debuted at number 9 on the Billboard 200, selling over 34,000 copies in its first week. It has sold over 188,000 copies worldwide so far. - Wikipedia

A recent MySpace post asks, "What do the Marleys, Page [Hamilton] from Helmet, a gospel choir and Mike Muir have in common?" It should be obvious: They're the special guest stars on the San Diegan nu-Christians' newest full-length, in an attempt to diversify and distance themselves from rap-metal mookery. Both new single "Addicted" and the title track offer tasteful and heavy permutations, not unlike latter-day Deftones cuts. It's good to see them slightly tweaking the formula.
