The title track was written with the Chesapeake Bay as a back drop idea. Boats and the water were always a fascination for the boys, growing up, and exemplified their love for many scenic places. The cut, 'Forgotten Time' was influenced by the famous Dennis Wilson song, 'Forever', a favorite of Flip's when it first came out in the Eighties. Many other harmonies found on this album were directly influenced by Dennis' other brothers, Brian and Carl Wilson. Their musical influence guided Flip's singing and writing style, not to mention the production aspect of this project. The R & B approach brought forth, 'Beat the Clock', with definitive guitar and horn parts that tells of a 'frustrating morning before going to work'. Several others, including 'And Life Goes On', and 'Didn't Have to Know' were first recorded in earlier sessions, but then remastered with more up to date instrumentation, and are favorites among Damon & Matthews fans. The other song, with a long history of different recording approaches is 'About Me and You', which actually had it's name shortened for logistical reasons. Many other artists influenced the making of this album, but for sure, the original compositions are based in love, and memories of great times in the artists' lives.
